Professor Alice Deignan and Dr Shirley Paul gave a presentation as part of the RaAM (Association for Researching and Applying Metaphor) specialized seminar on Metaphors in/and/of Translation. The seminar was held at Leiden University Centre for Linguistics during 10-12th June 2015.

The presentation, Translating science for young people through metaphor, focused on providing a qualitative comparative analysis of the types of metaphors typically used in academic texts and by young people during small-group discussions, to describe scientific concepts relating to climate change.
